  17. <p>     How many designers describe knitwear as "vulnerable"? A
  18. precious few. But then how many can trace their lineage to the
  19. father of the 50-minute hour? Meet Bella Freud,
  20. great-granddaughter of Sigmund and London-based style-maker. For
  21. two years now, Freud, 31, has been fashioning ego and id into
  22. clothing she calls "self-possessed and provocative." This month
  23. her fall line arrives Stateside. Named after another student of
  24. the mind, the collection is dubbed Alfred Hitchcock Glamour.
  25. Why? "I like the hot-tempered but cold Hitchcock-heroine."
